How do I control the desire to sin?
You don’t! God gives you the strength, if you ask!
13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.
1 Corinthians 10:13
First, you’re not alone, satan just wants you think that so he can heap on the condemnation.
Second, God is faithful and loves us not for what we do but for who we in spite of and despite of our failings.
Third, God will make a way! So look for the exit sign… I’m trained as a Fire Marshal at my work and since doing the training I find myself making a mental note of fire exits and layout of any new building I enter….
When you go into a new situation keep your wits about you and look for the exits!
8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: 9 Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.

Peter knows better than most not to underestimate the devil and his schemes. So like Neo in The Matrix, when the heat is on run like mad and find a telephone to beam you out of there! Share your issues with a Pastor and or a prayer partner and stay accountable to them at all costs…
Its a long slog but step by step just keep going and God will support you.
